Key point
In Las Vegas, Doug Kalitta, Jordan Vandergriff and Dallas Glenn won, Justin Bond took the Pro Mod title, and the other crowns will be decided in Pomona.
The NHRA Las Vegas Nationals delivered their verdicts at The Strip, at Las Vegas Motor Speedway: Doug Kalitta in Top Fuel, Jordan Vandergriff in Funny Car and Dallas Glenn in Pro Stock won, while Justin Bond took the Pro Mod title. One race remains of the twenty on the 2026 drag racing calendar: the NHRA Finals in Pomona.
Top Fuel: Kalitta keeps hope alive
Doug Kalitta beat team-mate Shawn Langdon in the semi-final and then Pruett in the final, running 3.658 s at 338.60 mph against 5.751 s at 124.89 mph. It is his fifth win of the year, the 64th of his career and his fourth in Las Vegas. He heads to Pomona 107 points behind Langdon, a big gap but not a decisive one, since points are worth one and a half times at the finale.
Funny Car: Vandergriff keeps the title race alive
Jordan Vandergriff beat Ron Capps in the final (3.873 s at 331.36 mph against 3.921 s). It is the fourth win of the season for the John Force Racing driver, in his first year in the class. He closes to within 39 points of leader Matt Hagan, a four-time champion knocked out in round two by J.R. Todd. A duel to watch in Pomona.
The weekend also made history in qualifying: for the first time at an NHRA event, every car in the field ran in the three-second range. Jack Beckman was quickest with 3.836 s, the last qualifier ran 3.968 s and the field averaged 3.901 s.
Pro Stock and Pro Stock Motorcycle
In Pro Stock, Dallas Glenn beat Troy Coughlin Jr. (6.587 s at 206.26 mph). It is his sixth win of 2026 and the 27th of his career; the reigning champion leads Matt Hartford by 87 points. In Pro Stock Motorcycle, wind pushed the final between team-mates Richard Gadson and Gaige Herrera to Pomona, during the third qualifying session on Saturday 14 November. Gadson arrives with a 55-point lead.
Pro Mod: Bond champion
Justin Bond beat Mike Stavrinos in the final, running 5.660 s at 253.47 mph against 5.791 s. It is his first title, after two wins in 2026 and eight in his career.
Next up: Pomona
